Trophy or Meat ?

Hunters Prefer Meat Over Trophies

It is no secret that the hunting community has always hunted for meat and that it has always been the primary goal to provide protein for the family. However, in recent years (the last 20 or so) the anti-hunting community has successfully painted an image of the trophy hunter, proudly posing with a dead deer, as someone who only hunts for the trophy. Trophy hunter has always been defined within the hunting community as someone who seeks out the largest and most mature representation of the species, not as is defined by anti-hunters “as someone who disregards the whole animal and is only interested in its headgear”. Anti-hunting took our words and twisted the meaning to fit their narrative. Now the word trophy hunting is taboo.
